Football: Give for the Game / كرة القدم لعبة العطاء

STUDIO DESCRIPTION

Majd Alabd

The goal of the workshop “Give for the Game” is empowerment through sport and learning lifelong health maintenance habits and strategies.

The idea is that the participants will build a football club, teaching kids about the global community of football and the way the sport can unify people across cultures and

Borders. Football/soccer is a sport that has held Madi’s community together through the best and the worst times. They have used it as a tool to promote togetherness, openness, acceptance, and common values. With this game, she has supported communities in Kenya, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, and Zaatari Refugee Camp. She also had opportunities to create

community gatherings around these charitable activities and give people at home some insight on what life is like for someone in a very distant reality. The overall goal of this camp would be to create a new community for learners at Karam House and to connect them with a

community in the United States using football as a shared passion.
