Symetrimotion Machine
This project transforms mechanical motion into art using pulleys, gears, and Arduino-controlled motors. Starting from a cardboard prototype, it evolved into a machine generating symmetrical, overlapping patterns with wave-like effects, blending geometry, engineering, and design into visually striking, architectural compositions.
A pulley is a circular machine element that rotates around a rope, belt, or cable, used to transmit or redirect motion. Gears are circular mechanical parts with interlocking teeth, enabling the transmission of motion and torque efficiently.
This innovative drawing machine contrasts circular designs by producing art with straight blades. The pen moves vertically while shifting sideways, generating unique compositions. Interaction of intervals creates striking graphic and architectural patterns, merging precision mechanics with artistic exploration in a captivating way.
The Cycloid Drawing Machine uses the wheel and axle principle, operating by hand crank without electricity. With a moving fulcrum and interchangeable gears, it generates limitless patterns, blending art, engineering, and play.
