Stories, are magical portals, that take us to wondrous worlds that are a mixture of reality and fantasy. Once they tell us about events that have already occurred, and cover them with beautiful details about the place and people.. And other times they tell of events that occurred in the imagination of their narrator to give us an example that will benefit us in our next life. So are the shoes. Our shoes take us where our dreams want, take us away from what we fear, and help us move from place to place. But.. how can we link stories to shoes when each of them has a different way of taking us from place to place??

The studio will be co-presented by American writer and illustrator Helen Zughaib, to learn from her experience in storytelling, drawing, and coloring. 

In this studio, students will share their own stories by expressing them in drawings done on a pair of pure white shoes. They will be our entry gates to the students' imaginary worlds, to introduce us to their dreams, fears and vision for the future. Students will learn the art of storytelling, write their own short stories, express them in color, and share them. Then they will learn the art of painting on shoes using acrylic colors.. Students will implement drawings on a pair of white baby's shoes and we will display their stories and works on the walls of Karam House to share their stories and imaginations

 القصص، هي بوابات سحرية ، تأخذنا إلى عوالم عجيبة هي خليط من الواقع والخيال. مرة تخبرنا عن أحداث وقعت بالفعل تغلفها بتفاصيل جميلة عن المكان والأشخاص  .. ومرات تروي أحداث وقعت في خيال راويها لتعطينا عبرة تفيدنا في حياتنا القادمة

وكذلك هي الأحذية. تأخذنا أحذيتنا إلى حيث تريد احلامنا وتبتعد بنا عما يخيفنا وتساعدنا في الانتقال من مكان إلى مكان .. 

ولكن .. كيف يمكننا ربط القصص بالأحذية في حين أن لكل منهما طريقة مختلفة في الانتقال بنا من مكان إلى مكان ؟؟ 

في هذا الاستوديو سيقوم الطلاب بمشاركة قصصهم التي ألفوها من خلال التعبير عنها برسومات يتم تنفيذها على زوج من الاحذية البيضاء النقية . وستكون هي بوابات دخولنا إلى عوالم الطلاب الخيالية لتعرفنا على احلامهم ومخاوفهم ورؤيتهم للمستقبل 

ستشاركنا في تقديم الاستوديو الكاتبة والرسامة الأميركيه هيلين زغيب لنتعلم من تجربتها في رواية القصص والرسم والتلوين. 

سيتعلم الطلاب في هذا الاستوديو فن رواية القصص وسيكتبون قصصهم القصيرة ويعبرون عنها برسومات ملونة ويشاركونها . ثم سنتعلم فن الرسم على الأحذية باستخدام الوان الاكريليك .. سيقوم الطلاب بتنفيذ الرسومات على زوج من أحذية الاطفال البيضاء وسنعرض قصصهم وأعمالهم على جدران بيت كرم لنشاركهم قصصهم وخيالاتهم
