Ramadan has many customs and traditions that are not broken over the years. In every country where people celebrate, we will find people gathered around iftar tables accompanied by special decorations for the holy month such as lanterns and lights. Amidst the ever-increasing conflict between modernity and heritage, the presence of the"Ramadan Lantern" remains constant in the alleys and squares of cities, as well as in many symbols that were passed down from generations and remained unchanged for years.

Through research and stories transmitted by parents and grandparents, we will tour the daily atmosphere to see what people are accustomed to practicing and to learn more about the values that are circulating between the past and the present throughout the holy month. We will then devise and form new elements that will play a major role in promoting the values of good, giving, and other values that make society more coherent.

In this studio, each student will create his own box to explore Ramadan from a new perspective. This will reveal many aspects that we have not seen before because of the new and useful elements that he will offer us, which may be in the form of hand-drawn stickers, sweets, decorative tools, and other innovative elements. 

Each student will decide to whom this box will present, and in order to make these ideas more communicative, all stages of the manufacture of the elements and the fund will be captured in short videos and posted on their media to encourage other members of society to do so.

إن لشهر رمضان عادات وتقاليد لا تخمدها السنين، ففي كل بلد يُحتفل فيه سنجد الناس مجتمعة حول موائد الإفطار، يرافقها الزينة الخاصة بالشهر الكريم كالفوانيس والأضواء. وسط الصراع الدائم الذي يزداد حدة بين الحداثة والتراث، يبقى حضور“فانوس رمضان” ثابتًا في أزقة وساحات المدن بالاضافة إلى العديد من الرموز التي توارثتها الأجيال وبقيت صامدة سنوات دون تغيير.  

من خلال البحث والقصص المنقولة من قبل الأهل والأجداد سنتجول ضمن الأجواء اليومية لرؤية ما اعتاد الناس ممارسته وللتعرف بشكل أقرب على القيم المتداولة مابين الماضي والحاضر طيلة فترة الشهرالكريم، ومن ثم سنقوم بابتكار وتشكيل عناصر جديدة والتي ستلعب دوراً كبيراً في تعزيز قيم الخير والعطاء وغيرها من القيم التي تجعل المجتمع أكثر تماسك.

في هذا الاستديو سيقوم كل طالب بإنشاء صندوقه الخاص الذي يتيح استكشاف رمضان من منظور جديد يكشف عن جوانب عديدة لم نراها من قبل لاعتيادنا عليها وذلك بما سيقدمه لنا من عناصر جديدة تعزز قيم رمضان وتوضح فوائد الصيام التي قد تكون على شكل ملصقات أو حلويات أو ذكرى رمضانية لدى الطالب أو أدوات زينة وغيرها من العناصر المبتكرة التي تساعد في الصيام.

سيختار كل طالب شخصية يقدم لها هذا الصندوق، ولجعل تلك الأفكار أكثر تناقلاً سيتم تصوير كل مراحل تصنيع العناصر والصندوق ضمن فيديوهات قصيرة ونشرها على وسائل التواصل الخاصة بهم لتشجيع غيرهم من أفراد المجتمع على فعل ذلك.
