This studio aims to teach students how to design using a modular system, through the repetition of unitary forms and that what we call "Aggregation Design". The idea of a ‘unit’ is at the core of this process. Each unit will come from a story or experience a student had or observed or read about. Its form is derived from the meaning it holds for them.

The unit will then be tested for and repeated in two- or three-dimensional networks to create sculptural forms. For aggregation, a unit may be reproduced in varying sizes but its shape and form should remain intact. This will be done in both physical and visual form. In the second stage, a small part of the network is distorted in an innovative way, creating a new hybrid form. Students will display a series of modular, aggregated, and hybrid sculptures at the end of the studio.

يهدف هذا الاستوديو إلى تعليم الطلاب كيفية التصميم ثنائي وثلاثي البعد انطلاقاً من "الوحدة" أو الخلية من خلال تكرار النماذج المكونة من نسيج إما عضوي أو متظم أو شبكي أو معقد وهو ما يسمى "التصميم التجميعي". إن فكرة "الوحدة" هي جوهر هذه العملية، وستأتي كل وحدة أو خلية من قصة أو تجربة أو رسالة يريد الطالب أن يوصلها أو قرأ عنها.

سيتم بعد ذلك اختبار الوحدة وتكرارها في شبكات ثنائية أو ثلاثية الأبعاد لإنشاء أشكال منحوتة للتجميع تحمل وظيفة أو رسالة معينة، يمكن تكرار الخلية بأحجام مختلفة ولكن يجب أن يظل شكلها ثابت وسيتم ذلك في شكل عملي ومجسّم.
