ISLAMIC
PATTERNS
Yusuf Ubeyd
In this studio, we explored different cultures by designing symbols that represent each society's identity. We studied their customs and traditions, created artwork inspired by them, and printed these symbols on clothing to blend art with heritage in an innovative way.
My project reflects Islamic culture through my drawing of the Dome of Qaitbay, which is a magnificent example of Islamic architecture. The design showcases the balance between precise geometric shapes, such as nine-pointed stars, reflecting the craftsmanship and deep understanding of mathematics and art.
