As robotics is becoming more accessible, some modern robots are used for comfort and well-being purposes, and as a demonstration of new technologies. We can then imagine how those advances can support us in dangerous and tiring tasks of everyday life.

In this studio, students will be introduced to the basics of robotics, come up with creative robot designs, and build robots from scratch. They will learn the techniques on how to control a robot, and then in teams, they will conduct interviews with all Karam House departments to find out what tasks the robots can perform. They will also work on its important functions to have it as a beautiful addition to the space of Karam House.

Key skills that students will acquire include 3d modeling, machining, electronics, computer programming, among many others. Students will also learn about actuation, sensing, manipulation, locomotion, and controls.
