Zoom your way through this studio by sketching, designing, and building a conceptual model of a futuristic or sci-fi vehicle! What will vehicles look like in the far future? How will future cities affect the design of cars, buses, trains, and motorcycles (if such categories will even exist)? What will the systems that support these vehicles look like? 

In this studio, students will be constructing sci-fi and futuristic vehicles, by creating innovative and unusual designs and imagining their setting and purpose in the world they have built.

Throughout the studio, students will experience the hands-on joy of illustrative design, as well as learn the basics of fabrication, electronics, and computer programming. They will also learn how to integrate the computer with external sensors (from simple switches and buttons to heat/temperature, light, touch) and actuators such as (motors, lights, speakers) to allow them to turn their ideas into futuristic vehicles ready to face-off in the future world.

التحولات في تقنيات المركبات تبدو أسرع في وتيرتها من أي وقت مضى، و السؤال الذي يجب ان نفكر فيه هو كيف ستبدو المركبات في المستقبل البعيد؟ كيف ستؤثر المدن في المستقبل على تصميم السيارات، والحافلات، والقطارات، والدراجات النارية (إذا كانت مثل هذه الفئات ستوجد أصلا)؟ كيف ستكون الأنظمة التي تدعم هذه المركبات و حركتها؟

في هذا الاستوديو، سنقوم ببناء مركبات الخيال العلمي و السيارات المستقبلية، عن طريق خلق تصاميم مبتكرة و غيرعادية و تخيل أماكن وجودها و الغرض منها في العوالم التي سنتخيلها.

وسوف نختبر المتعة العملية المتمثلة في انشاء التصاميم التوضيحية، فضلا عن تعلم أساسيات التصنيع، والإلكترونيات، والبرمجة الحاسوبية.

وسوف نتعلم أيضا كيفية دمج الكمبيوتر مع أجهزة الاستشعار الخارجية (من مفاتيح وأزرار بسيطة إلى الحرارة/درجة الحرارة، والضوء، واللمس) والمحركات (مثل المحركات، والأضواء، ومكبرات الصوت) وكل ما يمكن استخدامه لتحويل افكارنا إلى مركبات مستقبلية جاهزة لمواجهة العالم في المستقبل.
