Sitting on dining tables is one of the best social events that help family members communicate better with one another by discussing different thoughts and sharing news. Why not think about this event as an opportunity to create meals which express issues we hold dear and causes that affect our daily lives? This opportunity could be a stepping stone towards finding a solution to said issues and causes.

Using edible components, students shall experiment with designing dishes which portray each chosen case, to raise awareness about its impact on humans and, more comprehensively, society. Students shall engage in ridding the chosen case of all its problems, causes and its impact through researching and writing stories about it as well as drawing it and thinking of a way to turn it into the their final product.

In this studio, we shall discover how to use a medium that is readily available in our kitchen to cook meals that address issues with the goal of raising awareness about them. Said issues could be either global, local, social or environmental, but most importantly, ones that are not always talked about.

Students shall learn how to shape moulds from basic, cheap and available material for their final dish.

باستخدام مكونات صالحة للأكل، سيقوم الطلاب بتجريب تصميم أطباق على شكل مظاهر كل قضية للتوعية حول تأثيرها على الإنسان والمجتمع بصورة أشمل من خلال عملية تجريد للقضية مشاكلها، أسبابها وتأثيرها من خلال البحث و كتابة القصص عنها ورسمها والتفكير بكيفية تحويلها إلى منتج نهائي.

في هذا الاستديوسنكتشف كيف لنا أن نستفيد من العناصر الأساسية الموجودة في المطبخ في صناعة الوجبات نتمكن من خلالها من تحقيق وعي و خلق حوار حول قضية معينة، قد تكون القضايا عالمية أو محلية اجتماعية أو بيئية وبذلك يكون الاستديو فرصة لنشر هذه القضايا التي تؤثر على حياتنا اليومية وخاصة التي لا يتم تسليط الضوء عليها. 

سوف يتعلم الطلاب أيضًا صناعة القوالب من مواد أساسية وبسيطة أثناء تشكيل لوحاتهم الخاصة البصرية والمرئية. أحضر شهيتك واستعد لدخول عالم الطهي!
