Storytellers are among the most sensitive and probing of artists. One function of the art of storytelling is to give people the words to know their own experience. At its best, storytelling is a technique of focusing attention on what’s important. We use it to know who we are and what we want. This class is an invitation to contemplate. Our central question is: what is and isn’t worthy of our attention? In a world riven with noise, I can think of no more important practice to initiate young learners in Turkey. In the end, good storytelling is the only way to improve our world’s story.

In this studio, students will write a story that they have heard, read or experienced, a story that influenced them. They will use graphics to support their stories.

إنّ الحكواتي من بين أكثر الفنانين حساسية وتقصيًا. تتمثل إحدى وظائف فن سرد القصص في إعطاء الناس الكلمات لإدراك تجربتهم الخاصة. في أفضل الأحوال يعد سرد القصص أسلوبًا في تركيز الانتباه على ما هو مهم فنستخدمها لمعرفة من نحن ومبتغانا ويدعونا هذا الفصل للتأمل في حوابٍ لسؤالنا الأساسي وهو ما الّذي يستحق اهتمامنا فعلاً؟ في عالم ممزق بالضوضاء، لا يمكنني التفكير في ممارسة أكثر أهمية للبدء بها نشأة متعلمين الصغار في تركيا. في النهاية، رواية القصص الجيدة هي الطريقة الوحيدة لتحسين قصة عالمنا.

في هذا الاستديوسيقوم الطلاب بكتابة قصة حدثت معهم أو سمعوها أو قرأوها وكانت مؤثرة بالنسبة لهم حيث سيستخدمون الرسومات لدعم قصصهم.
